Tour Details
We flew into Shannon Airport and drove to Springfield castle in Dromcollogher, County Limerick which would be out home for the next week. It is the ancestral home of Lord and Lady Musketry and is situated on a magical 200 acre wooded estate. We were met by Barry Fitzgerald who guided us on our week’s long adventure in Ireland. The first night we enjoyed a talk by one of Ireland’s modern witches about the Irish way of spirituality. We traveled into Limerick city to visit the castle of King John and the Bunratty Folk Park and Castle where everywhere was open for us to explore. We were transported back in time to dine "Medieval Style". The dining entertainment was provided by world renowned entertainers and was a fitting compliment to a mead reception, a four course feast, and of course good wine. We toured Leap Castle; one of the most haunted castles’ in Ireland which was featured on Ghost Hunters, where Sean Ryan entertained us on his pan flute. We saw Charlesville castle with its many rooms and countless spirits. We took a boat past the Cliffs of Moher and headed to Aran Island, site of the alleged sunken cursed village. We traveled to Sligo and climbed the hills of Carrowkeek to visit the ancient doorways to the otherworld. And then we were on Carrowmore, site of the ancient tombs. . We visited Parkes castle followed by boarding the Rose of Innisfree which sailed across the great Gill lough; seeing the Banshee Rocks and the Fairy Island. We traveled across Ireland to the east coast where we went to see the Rock of Cashel and a 13th century abbey in Tipperary. One night we went to the 13th century Enniscorthy Castle where we were able to conduct our own ghost hunt. We spent most of the evening doing an investigation. We traveled down to Cork city where we shopped to our hearts content.
